The Introductory Cycle

The seminars of this Cycle are designed for beginning teachers and, as a refresher, for experienced teachers with little or no professional training in Teaching English as Foreign Language (TEFL). The Courses are an excellent preparation for the English Language Teachers’ Certifications exams, accredited by ΕΣΥΔ. Trainees are given the opportunity to discuss and participate in practical activities which enable them to approach the teaching of the four Skills, Vocabulary, Grammar and Class Management and Lesson Planning.

EFL INTRODUCTORY METHODS COURSE

A 70-hour highly practical Course specifically designed for new professionals, as well as for teachers who have not received any prior training.

COURSE TOPICS & REQUIREMENTS:
  • Class Management & First Days of Class, Lesson Planning,
  • Using & Preparing Visuals, Creative Grammar Practice & Drilling I,
  • The Four-Stages Workshop, Developing Speaking Skills,
  • Using the Dictionary, Teaching Reading, Developing Listening Skills, Vocabulary Building,
  • Teaching Writing, Coursebook Adaptation,
  • Creative Grammar Practice II, Micro teaching Sessions & ProjectOne-to-One Sessions with the trainers.
