    Introduction to the basic principles of teacher training methodology, the do’s and don’ts of teaching young learners; Course requirements and procedures.<\/p>

    Unit 2. September 11th: \u201cClassroom Rituals: Opening, Closing and In- Between\u201d<\/strong>
    Start out right by creating an atmosphere in class in which young learner
    feel secure and respected; a great part of language learning depends on their building relationships with others confidently and respectfully. Ideas for teachers who want to help develop young learners’ social graces. Plus activities to encourage these learners’ unique contributions.<\/p>

    Unit 3. September 18th: “Learning & Teaching Children Online”<\/strong>
    Online teaching requires teachers to re-think a number of their strategies and to adopt new ones. However, the fundamental principles of teaching children 6 – 11 years old remain the same. Discussion of the new strategies needed for online teaching, as well as demonstration of activities which create pleasant online learning experiences.<\/p>

    Unit 4. September 25th: \u201cDeveloping Reading Skills in the Young Learner Classroom\u201d<\/strong>
    Sometimes it is nice to change things up in our learners’ reading routine. But what are fun ways to teach reading? And how can we teach reading while also inspiring our learners? Ideas that get teachers and children moving, energized and engaged.<\/p>

    Unit 5. October 2nd: “Teaching Vocabulary to Children: The Way to Success”<\/strong>
    Learning words should be a pleasant and imaginative experience for young learners. Discussions and demonstrations of ways of presenting, practicing and recording vocabulary items; learning the keys to consolidating and “appropriating” vocabulary effectively.<\/p>

    Unit 6. October 9th: \u201cPractical Ideas For Developing Young Learners’ Writing Skills\u201d<\/strong>
    How can writing be engaging and inspiring activity for young learners? Children are active learners and thinkers, they learn through social interaction and scaffolding. In this webinar you will be introduced to creative, practical ideas to develop young learners\u2019 writing skills.<\/p>

    Unit 7. October 16th : “Games Children Play”<\/strong>
    Language games help children learn through pleasure and give them the opportunity to use fluently the language they have acquired. Games provide “room” for all: mixed abilities, shy learners, over-active children: everybody has the opportunity to develop his\/her multiple intelligences, as well as to improve their social skills through games.<\/p>

    Unit 8. Oct. 23rd: \u201cThe Power Of Storytelling & Drama To Promote Learning”<\/strong>
    Through stories and drama, children develop understanding of themselves and the world around them. Both engage children\u2019s interest, attention and imagination and develop their language skills. Hands-on activities to practice both.<\/p>

    Unit 9. October 30th: \u201cQ\u201d \u2018n\u2019 \u201cE\u201d Activities for EFL Learner (ages 9+)<\/strong>
    Participants will take part in demonstrations of a number of “Q ‘n’ E” (“Q” for quick to do in class and “E” for easy for teachers to prepare) oral and written practice activities for young learners and adolescents at elementary and pre-intermediate levels.<\/p>

    Unit 10. November 6th: \u201cKeeping Listening Active\u201d<\/strong>
    It is important to understand the concept of listening being an active engagement. Also, how can we help children develop specific strategies for listening ? Demonstration of activities on how to develop young learners’ listening skills.<\/p>

    Unit 11. November 13th: \u201c21st Century Skills For Young Learners\u201d<\/strong>
    The 21st century skills are the building blocks for learning. Our children will need to survive and thrive in an increasingly competitive global landscape, and at the same time be able to collaborate with others from all over the world. Creative and innovate ideas will be practiced.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
