Managers of today are called upon to re-invent and re-purpose a number of their strategies. However, the fundamental principles of management are still of utmost importance: effective administration, organization, planning, Time Management, empathic collaboration with teachers & administrative staff, proper staff selection strategies, team building, imaginative public relations and parent management and communication are the “keys to success”. The Course will cover the following major areas: Principles of Leadership & Effective Management, School Organization & Administration, Staff Selection, Public Relations, Dealing with Parents, Teacher Training & Development.

Techniques, a Leader’s goals. - Nov. 12, Unit 4: “Public Relations”, Who are your ‘clients’? What is the school’s ‘presence’ within the community and what ‘image’ do you project?
- Nov. 26, Unit 5: “Parent Management & Communication” Part I, Who, What, When, Where, How often?
- Dec. 10, Unit 6: “Parent Management & Communication” Part II, Case Studies, Interactive discussion of actual problems/issues.
- Jan. 7, Unit 7: “The Art of the Interview: Administrative & Teaching Staff Selection”: Successful staff selection depends on a well-organized
